At ITW GSE, safety is a shared responsibility. Our philosophy is simple: all accidents can be prevented when we stay aware, speak up, and look out for each other.
This week, we held our annual Safety Day – a day dedicated to learning, reflection, and practical safety training across the team.

Safety is also about how we work together
The day began with a presentation on mental health by an occupational psychologist, highlighting the importance of a safe psychological working environment.
Safety is not only about procedures, equipment, and physical risks. It is also about creating a workplace where people feel comfortable sharing concerns, asking questions, and supporting each other.
During the session, the team took part in organized discussions, creating a lively and engaged atmosphere with many good conversations across departments.

Practical training with real-life relevance
The afternoon focused on fire safety. Through a practical firefighting exercise, employees had the opportunity to try using a fire blanket as well as two different types of fire extinguishers.
The hands-on session made fire safety more concrete and gave everyone a better understanding of how to react in an emergency situation.
The day also included a safety quiz and a Safety Catch treasure hunt, adding a fun and interactive element to the training.
Together, the activities made Safety Day a valuable mix of learning, awareness, and team building – all supporting our shared goal of a safe and accident-free workplace.
