Top marks from Wärtsilä

WÄRTSILÄ who recently participated in a Factory Acceptance Test of a 90 kVA 400 Hz ground power unit including a 28 VDC output.

This unit will soon be shipped to Wärtsilä’s facility in Hamburg and from there, to the shipyard where the installation will take place.

Apart from approving the GPU, the two representatives from Wärtsilä gave top marks to the ITW GSE facility. They were taken by surprise by the relaxed atmosphere and the sharing of information already in the hallway where big posters show the Quality System, the production planning, and the overview of all employees.

Mrs. Karen Bethe, Quality Manager at Wärtsilä, especially noticed the availability of all appropriate testing tools plus the professionalism of the test engineers that “knew what they were talking about and could answer all questions”.

Mrs. Bethe further told that the 90 kVA unit was not the first order placed with ITW GSE.
Hopefully, it will not be the last either.

You can read about the unit here.
