Place it – connect it – and go!

Customer statement: “The 7400 unit is faster and easier to use compared to a diesel unit, as it does not need to warm up. You simply place it, connect it, and there you go!”

This is how Tallinn Airport GH Ltd. describes the use of the ITW GSE 7400 battery-driven ground power unit (eGPU), during our last visit in primo March, 2020.

Tallinn Airport GH Ltd. has been familiar with the eGPU since the unit’s very beginning, where the unit went on trial in Tallinn Airport and now, the airport has purchased a unit as part of Tallinn Airport’s strategic plans of becoming carbon neutral.

Buying green GSE is (among other initiatives) Tallinn Airport’s way of becoming carbon neutral, and this decision has resulted in tenders for battery-driven GSE and the ITW GSE 7400 eGPU fulfills this tender perfectly.

Looking at the nice decorations on the eGPU, it is seen that the Estonian airport truly goes green on ground, and the story gets even better: during a ceremony, the environmentally friendly eGPU was baptized ‚Ingrid‘ (in champagne!) just like the name of the Environmental Officer at the airport, whose name is also Ingrid.

Cheers to green initiatives!
