Aviation hoses

Hoses and connectors play a great role in aircraft ground handling operations, where the goal is to deliver fresh outside air into an aircraft’s cabin.

The PCA system treats the air, i.e., through filtering, compressing, cooling, or heating the air, after which it is carried via the hoses and connectors into the cabin ducts, from where it flows into the cabin.

PCA hoses are essential for both commercial and military aviation. Though the latter might not necessarily transport passengers during flights, military aircraft, like much commercial aircraft, have expensive and sensitive avionics that need to be kept in stable temperatures in order to avoid potential damage and equipment failure.

In commercial aviation, pre-conditioned air is used not only to secure optimum performance from avionics, but also to provide passengers and cabin crew fresh air and comfortable temperatures during turn-arounds.
