General Manager Celebrates 25 Year’s Jubilee

Henrik Olsson Celebrates his 25 Year’s Jubilee

Photo of General Manager Henrik OlssonYou are invited to join the small reception for Henrik at AXA Power, Smedebakken 31-33, 5270 Odense N on Tuesday 30. June 2009 from 12:00 – 13:00

Henrik Olsson graduated from Odense Teknikum back in 1984. Right after, Henrik started working in AXA’s technical department where he designed transformers, chargers as well as power supplies for aircraft. As a matter of fact, on a very chilly October night in 1987, Henrik did attend one of the very first tests of AXA Power’s actual star – a ground power supply for aircraft.  This took place in the local airport in Odense where the morning aircraft to Copenhagen was parked for the night. From 1991 through 1995, Henrik supplemented his engineering degree with bachelor of commerce degree

In 1990, Henrik was appointed  factory manager of AXA Power which at that time was situated in Otterup approx. 15 km North of Odense. Short after the sales of Axel Åkerman and AXA Power to the American industrial group ITW in year 2000, Henrik Olsson was appointed managing director of AXA Power. Henrik therefore has been the driving force behind the implementation of the ITW principles at the AXA Power factory which has led one better annual result than the other.

Henrik is very fond of jogging. Therefore, it was only natural that he initiated the AXA Power Exercise programme – AXA On The Move . All employees either walk, run or ride their bike for half an hour each day – even on the day of celebration, the half an hour excercise is scheduled.
