HRH CROWN PRINCE FREDERIK OF DENMARK AWARDS PRESTIGIOUS PRIZE TO MELBOURNE COMPANY

HRH Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark

RATE Australia Pty Ltd (ITW GSE appointed distributor for Australia) has won a prestigious Business Award initiated by HRH Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark together with the Danish Export Association. The prize is awarded once a year in the categories: Business Excellence, Green Solutions and Newcomer of The Year. HRH the Crownprince awarded the prices for the special efforts promoting Danish products on the international markets.

The Green Solutions is awarded to RATE Australia Pty. Ltd., which specializes in passenger boarding bridges and other airport equipment. RATE Australia Pty. Ltd is a distributor for ITW GSE, which has achieved great success in the Australian airport industry. RATE saw the potential in ITW’s new battery-powered eGPU, powering parked aircraft, where they decided to store surplus electricity from a large solar plant. The airport then uses the energy during normal operation or during peak loads. In this way, RATE’s innovative approach benefits not only the customer, but also ITW and the entire ITW distributor network, which gains new knowledge and inspiration.

“RATE is always bringing valuable feedback and master innovative thinking thus creating new solutions for the benefit of their customers”, says Poul Elvstroem, Vice President Sales and Marketing at ITW GSE.  On behalf of Mr. Peter Reidy, owner of RATE, who could unfortunately not travel to Denmark due to Covid-19 travel restrictions, HRH Crown Prince Frederik handed over the award to the Australian Ambassador to Denmark Ms. Mary Ellen Miller.
