High flexibility on a rainy day

ITW GSE today welcomed Facilities Maintenance Director, Mr. Mohammed Al Jabri and Mechanical Engineer, Mr. Afaq Ahmed from Presidential Flight in Abu Dhabi, UAE, for a factory acceptance test of additional ITW GSE 2400 GPUs for their facilities. Also present was ITW GSE distributor Mr. Elie Roukoz.

During a break in the test procedure, Commissioning Engineer Claus Frydenlund took the opportunity to introduce the new ITW GSE 7400 eGPU. Immediately, the gentlemen could find a lot of benefits of this ground power concept. No exhaust fumes, low noise level, no NOx nor CO2 emissions and high flexibility. The eGPU can be used inside a hangar and on the apron, it can be charged while supplying power, and it can also be used as a plane solid-state converter. To cover the power requirements for the fleet of the Presidential Flight that includes Code C and Code E aircraft among other, two 7400 GPUs would be ideal. So hopefully we can soon plan for another FAT?

Although the eGPU comes with high flexibility – it can not change rainy weather into sunshine… however, coming from a complete different climate, the gentlemen stated that the rain was actually simply perfect weather for them – at least for the day.
