Brisbane Airport reduces emissions with the ITW GSE 7400 eGPU

Brisbane Airport is one of Australia’s largest and most forward-looking aviation hubs. As part of its sustainability strategy, the airport continuously invests in cleaner technologies to reduce environmental impact and enhance operational efficiency.

To support its green accreditation goals, Brisbane Airport sought a dependable power solution that could help reduce fuel consumption and minimize environmental impact during aircraft servicing. The traditional diesel GPUs contribute to CO₂ and noise emissions - two areas that the airport actively aims to improve - and the eGPUs offer the perfect alternative.

The ITW GSE solution

In collaboration with RATE Australia Pty. Ltd., Brisbane Airport selected the ITW GSE 7400 eGPU, a battery-powered Ground Power Unit designed to deliver reliable 400 Hz power while supporting cleaner ground operations.

The unit helps airports lower emissions, reduce noise, and simplify maintenance, all while maintaining uptime and performance comparable to conventional GPUs.

The result:
