The ITW GSE 2400 Compact GPU is the market’s best choice for point-of-use 400 Hz solid-state ground power units (GPU). It is small and simple, reliable and robust. This 400 Hz frequency converter features a wealth of technical advantages, from the unique output voltage at the aircraft plug and the common ITW GSE user interface, to software update via USB and the standard overload capabilities that match all aircraft types.
The ITW GSE 2400 Compact GPU offers outstanding features such as:
ITW GSE 2400 GPUs are simply smart ground power units covering your requirements for reliable 400 Hz supplies.
Are you looking for battery driven 400 Hz? The ITW GSE 7400 eGPU might be the solution!
Looking for 270 VDC power supply? Check out the ITW GSE 2400 - 270 VDC.
Looking for 28V DC? Choose between the battery driven 7400 eGPU JetEx or the solite state ITW GSE 1400 GPU.
At ITW GSE, we have always kept a close eye on market trends and worked to stay at the forefront of new developments and technologies. No surprise, then, that the 2400 Compact was designed to comply with ISO 6858, which defines standards for voltage imbalance and phase displacement at the aircraft plug In fact, we are even third-party approved.

At most airports, a given parking position must accommodate a large variety of aircraft every day. When larger aircraft are docking in the morning, a 400 Hz source is needed. Later, a 28 V is often required.
If this scenario sounds familiar, the 2400 Compact Combi, formerly sold under the AXA Power and Hobart brand names, is your answer.
The combi unit is capable of delivering 400 Hz and regulated 28 VDC power, simultaneously and independently.
The 28 V Active Rectifier Unit (ARU), available as a standard option, delivers superior voltage quality at the aircraft plug without jeopardising the 400 Hz voltage.
The 2400 Compact Combi powers everything from narrow-body aircraft to turbo-prop planes, whenever the need arises.
Available in mobile and fixed version – see the ITW GSE 2400 brochure for more information.
The 2400 Compact is part of EcoGate, ITW GSE’s high-efficiency system of ground support units that work together intelligently. By linking your ITW GSE units together, you can unlock new efficiencies and remove power-related barriers to affordable progress at the gate.
EcoGate prioritizes the power needs of your GPU above all other units. If the 2400 experiences a sudden increase in consumption, and the total power demand exceeds what is available, EcoGate technologies temporarily 'borrow' power from your 3500 PCA to meet the need – without exceeding the gate’s total power capacity.
Fixed 400 Hz installations often include a mix of long symmetrical and asymmetrical output cables, as well as various connection boxes, making it difficult to maintain the required voltage quality at the aircraft connector. This is exactly where ITW GSE’s Plug & Play voltage compensation system makes a difference. The Plug & Play system is based on true individual phase regulation combined with a predetermined model of the actual cable installation. As a result, the 2400 provides outstanding voltage quality at the connector, ensuring on-time departures and happy customers.
Typically, a GPU is designed to deliver more power than required to meet an aircraft's power needs. And often PCAs deliver excess capacity for about 80% of the time, wasting lots of expensive energy and creating undesirable emissions.
The ITW GSE Power Share lets you allocate excess power from your 2400 Power Coil so you can charge eGPUs and other AC units without having to upgrade the existing infrastructure.
The Power Share is a smart outlet box that can be attached to your fixed GPU or installed independently and connected to a Power Coil or PCA. The Power Share will always prioritize supplying the available power to the GPU/PCA over other connected equipment which is simply disconnected. The disconnected equipment will automatically be reconnected when power becomes available.
Until 2018, the ITW GSE 2400 GPU was sold under the AXA Power and Hobart brands.
