ITW GSE Connect live tracks your eGPUs
Follow your eGPU around the airport's many gates and e.g. monitor the power level to plan charging before the battery is too low.
Ideal for remote stands with no fixed 400 Hz and hangars.
The eGPU family includes eGPUs with one or two outlets suitable for narrow and wide-body aircraft as well as an eGPU suitable for business jets.
The ITW GSE 7400 eGPU represents the next step in ground power technology. As a fully battery-driven unit, it delivers 400 Hz power to aircraft without generating local emissions or noise. This makes it ideal for airports aiming to replace diesel units and operate more sustainably.
Powered by batteries, the 7400 eGPU provides clean, reliable output no matter if it is positioned at the gate, in the hangar, or at a remote stand.Â
Key operational benefits include:
Every detail of the 7400 eGPU is engineered for reliable, flexible performance: a future-ready solution designed to keep aircraft and ground crews powered safely and efficiently.
The ITW GSE 7400 eGPU is part of a proven electric ground power unit range that has redefined airport sustainability since 2017. Developed from ITW GSE’s long-standing expertise in solid-state and battery technology, the 7400 combines the power capacity of traditional GPUs with no direct emission operation.
Available in 90, 140 and 180 kVA versions, it supports everything from narrow- to wide-body aircraft.
Technical highlights:
Each model shares the same design platform and intuitive control interface, simplifying training, reducing human error, and ensuring maximum uptime across your fleet.

That is our estimate when it comes to a 90 kVA eGPU ( subject to the number of hours in use)
Thanks to the eGPU's lack of moving parts, vulnerable to wear and tear, maintenance costs are almost non-existent. Therefore, the overall operating costs are very low compared to a diesel GPU.
With the current electricity prices and maintenance costs, the eGPU is a clear winner.
Cumulative OPEX – Diesel engine GPU VS eGPU
The graph shows the cumulative operating costs of a diesel GPU and a 90 kVA eGPU used 5½ hours/day during the year. Lower electricity and maintenance costs make the eGPU a winner in comparison.

Total Cost of Ownership (TOC) typically lower than diesel after 2 years.
Combined with our EcoGate system, battery-driven GPUs can become part of a connected ecosystem that intelligently distributes available power across a wide range of ITW GSE ground support equipment, increasing overall energy efficiency.
The eGPU is immediately ready to deliver 400 Hz power when you hit the start button - unlike a diesel GPU that may need 15 minutes of preheating before you can use it.

Apart from delivering cleaner operation, eGPUs are significantly quieter than diesel GPUs.
This is a pleasure for operating staff and boarding passengers who may be used to noisy diesel driven GPUs.
Some operators have even wondered whether the eGPU is working at all as it is so silent.
First-hand experience is one of the best ways to learn about a new product. Therefore, we are happy to provide you a sample of testimonials about the ITW GSE 7400 eGPU unit.
Many airports struggle to charge their electric equipment. The ITW GSE Power Share allows you to make more of your available gate power.
Power Share is a smart power outlet box which lets you allocate the excess power from your GPU or PCA to charge your eGPUs – without having to upgrade your gate infrastructure. Power Share can be attached to your fixed 2400 GPU or installed independently and connected to a 2400 Power Coil or 3500 PCA.
The eGPU can do 8-10 turn-arounds with narrow-body aircraft before it needs recharging, and it provides the same outstanding performance and qualities as the ITW GSE solid-state GPUs:
The ITW GSE 7400 eGPU combines known technologies into one innovative GPU.
This is your guarantee for a reliable battery ground power unit.

The ITW GSE 7400 eGPU is available in 28 VDC and 400 Hz 90 and 180 kVA configurations, covering a wide range of aircraft—from regional turboprops to narrow- and wide-body jets. It’s a flexible solution designed to adapt to your ground handling needs in hangars, military and defense applications, and remote stands with no fixed 400 Hz installations - see the entire eGPU solution
A fully charged 7400 eGPU can support up to 8–12 turnarounds of narrow-body aircraft like the Boeing 737, depending on power demand. The unit can be charged overnight and may also be topped up during off-peak periods, ensuring uninterrupted apron operations.
Emitting zero CO2, the noise-reduced 7400 eGPU helps airports and ground handlers meet sustainability targets. It eliminates the need for diesel GPUs, significantly reducing COâ‚‚ and NOx emissions while also minimizing noise pollution. In fact, replacing just one diesel GPU with a 7400 eGPU can save approximately 50,000 kgs (110,000 lbs) of CO2 Â each year, the equivalent of 45 households or 30 cars.
The eGPU is designed for easy integration. It can be charged from any 50/60Hz socket or through ITW GSE's smart charging solutions like the Power Share or the DC Charger. This enables charging without additional infrastructure upgrades, reducing both complexity and cost.
ITW GSE offers comprehensive global after-sales support with quick response times. Our service team is easily reachable and ready to assist with any technical or operational needs. The eGPU also includes ITW Connect software for fleet monitoring and maintenance planning.
